ABOUT KCK (KIDSCAN KONNECT)


​The childhood cancer teenage & young adult survivor group of Cankids...Kidscan comprising of cancer patients/survivors, siblings, peers and young volunteers. The KCK group is a capacity building platform with the goal of creating a pool of career enhanced professionals who have successfully reintegrated back into society. They are survivors turned cancer ambassadors advocating for cancer in their own capacity & career stream. We are currently running a 2 year internship based fellowship model of our survivors.

  • They offer peer support to each other.
  • Learn to look after their health and cope with late side effects of their cancer treatment.
  • Participate in awareness programs.
  • Motivate younger childhood cancer patients.
  • Increasingly they are participating in late side effect research studies and projects.

National Childhood Cancer Award Program aims ....
  • To recognize the indomitable courage and bravery of children faced with cancer that have either survived the disease or are still undergoing treatment.
  • To motivate and encourage those children who have fought cancer and emerged as winners.
  • To honor and awards the children who show exceptional will and determination to succeed and excel, despite their battle with cancer.
  • To bring a strong message to society that cancer is a disease that can be tackled with a positive attitude and spirit.

4th National Cancer Survivor Conference, 8th - 9th September 2018


​September is Childhood Cancer awareness month. Each year the Childhood cancer awareness month is celebrated across the world in the Month of September to reorganise the warriors who have won their battle with Cancer against cancer and support them who are fighting with Cancer. Every year, 80,000-85,000 of children across India are diagnosed with cancer and only 25000- 30000 make it to the Hospital. Besides celebrating our Childhood Cancer survivor group KidscCan Konnect is holding the two days National Conference. We are inviting about 100 Childhood Cancer survivors to participate in this conference from across the country.

  This conference aims to: -
  1. Build Capacity of Childhood Cancer Survivors and launch of a fellowship for Survivor,
  2. To break the stigma about the Cancer and Cancer Survivorship,
  3. Launch of Survivor Passport Website- a Service for Childhood Cancer Survivors, and
  4. Present a resolution on Right to Education in conclusion of The National Debate on Childhood Cancer Survivorship- a Disability?

Supporting Higher education through KCSHS (KAPIL CHAWLA SURVIVOR HELPING SURVIVOR FUND)
- Through the KCSHF we have supported 16 Survivors of Rs. 8,66,800/.

Go Gold India is a campaign led by survivors to advocate to the Government to focus on making childhood cancer a child health priority.
